2019 Annual Meeting Information [PDF]
Lorraine Wright and Clayton Hogston will share with us their recent project with the Historical Land Survey Records. The Marion County Pilot Project goal was to research, locate, digitize, process and make publicly available the four versions of the historical General Land Office (GLO), land survey field notes and plats using a Geographic Information System (GIS), a web-based mapping system.
The Indiana State Archives staff have been integral in accessing documents not previously available. Join us on April 9th to learn more about the project and how it will be used.
A buffet luncheon and brief Friends business meeting will precede the presentation. The luncheon and meeting will begin at noon. The price of the luncheon is $16.00, payable at the door, but you must reserve a lunch in advance. Please contact Barb Wood by April 2 for reservations. Individuals may attend the talk at no cost.
